When I finish high school, I will trade the GLI in. I think I know what i'll be getting myself.

Yup. a Boostang. this exact combo as well. Competition orange, with the Ecoboost performance pack. I want. a lot.

how long have you had the GLI? it might just be me used to my parents process of buying a car once every 10 years, but assuming you got it at 16, your finish HS at 18..only 2 years?

I've had at for 3 months now. Don't get me wrong, I love my car! but for $23K, I could've gotten a lot more....

It's a great daily driver. comfy, safe, quick, cool, high-end (relative to other cars at school) but I do plan on getting rid of it after 2 years of ownership.

ehh. IDK know how your situation is but here (in caanda) winter would mean a RWD is ehh. and insurance company in canada would have their way with you. They wanted something like 2 grand a year to insurance me on a 2000 saab 93. a mustang? (even a V6) 6 grand. 8 grand for the V8

as far as the actual cars go. dont forget a mustang is just that. a mustang. you will never be accpet by the import crowd, and always shunned by the mustang crowd becase 4banger.

not to mention interior of the GLI is far nicer. and it more economical

Dude, I'm definitely gonna get a GT as my next car. Not sure how, but I'll do it. But if we're talking $23k, Ecoboost starts at $25, you'd only be able to get a V6 unless some magical deal.

my insurance is about 2K a year for the GLI. the boostang would be about $4K. and I know, I know. but it looks good. it probably drives good, and for my purposes, RWD and 315HP is perfect!

If you want 300+ horses and don't want to spend more than 25, look at CPO G37s. That way you get some badge prestige and luxury so you can pick up girls after you graduate too.
